Dedicated

to Growth

We are devoted to nurturing sustainable agricultural practices within Myanmar's tea sector and take a hands-on approach. Our initiatives to empower farmers in our industry, uplift them and continually improve our business outlook include:

Organic Transition & Certification

We have facilitated pre-organic farmers' transition by explaining the distinctions between GAP and organic methods and imparting GMP techniques. Our certified inspectors ensure adherence to organic practices, meticulously tracked through our internal control system.

Capacity Building

With our participation in the “Resilience for Women-led SMEs” programme supported by the Impact Hub Myanmar we gained certification and funds from the Capacity Enhancement Fund. This enabled us to expand production and improve the tea farmers' incomes.

Enhanced Farming Techniques

Through mulching, pruning, and soil erosion management, we have fortified our tea plantations. Intercropping safeguards soil during heavy rain. We have provided manual pruning tools at no cost, supporting farmers with hedge shears, pruners, and saws. We also foster systematic maintenance of local varieties and precision in tea leaf picking.

Optimised Soil Health & Crop Diversification

We have educated farmers on cultivating nitrogen-rich green manure crops like beans and peas to enhance soil fertility. We also advocate for farmers to grow high-value plants such as avocados, oak trees, ginger, and tomatoes, and have supplied suitable seeds for regional adaptation.

 International Collaborations

Under the guidance of respected institutions we continue to champion Myanmar produce. Thanks to SWISS AID, we have delivered conservation and training programmes across 15 tea plantation villages. With the support of the International Trade Centre our corporate brand has been rejuvenated and our marketing materials refreshed. We will keep leveraging social media, trade fairs, and events to bolster the branding and outreach of Myanmar teas.

 Community Impact & Response

We participated in the Pindaya Tea Culture Horizon Development Network (PTCHDN) empowering local ethnic groups, and fostering balanced growth through courses in business, health, and education. Amidst COVID-19 and trade restrictions, we launched a crisis response initiative called "Supporting Farmers, Giving to the Community" with local partners. We bought and delivered farmers' produce to domestic markets, safeguarding livelihoods and local food security.
